The Opportunity
We are hiring developers to build enterprise-grade products using Docker and Kubernetes as the infrastructure. You'll join us in designing and developing this platform with a focus on scale, performance, security, and availability.
 
About the Team
Nutanix has built an enterprise-ready, unified cloud platform with its market leading HCI (hyperconverged infrastructure) solution as the foundation. We are now in the journey of making the path to hybrid multicloud easier for our customers. We will continue our journey in cloud-native space where the possibilities are immense. Microservices platform team is developing the best-of-breed container orchestration platform with Kubernetes and many more CNCF projects that will be instrumental in building the data centers of the future.
 
Your Role
  • Working knowledge of containers, microservices and cloud native architecture 
  • Strong knowledge of Distributed Systems 
  • Networking fundamentals 
  • GoLang or Python 
  • Good software development practices: should thrive in an environment of rapid development, peer code reviews, and write good functional/unit tests 
  • System design experience 
Nice to have: 
  • Network Services – CNI plugins, Load-Balancers, Security, QOS, etc. 
  • Experience working in virtual machines and distributed systems. 
  • Experience in AWS, Google and Azure Cloud ecosystems 
  • Knowledge of container observability stack 
 
What You Will Bring
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent 
  • 5-8 years of experience with distributed systems and client-server architectures. 
  • Knowledge of building micro-service-based applications. 
  • Hands-on development in Golang Programming 
  • Strong development experience on Linux/Unix OS platform
  • Hands-on experience working with version control / DevOps tools – Git, Gerrit, or Jenkins Good to have 
  • Working knowledge of Data Protection technologies like Disaster Recovery and Backup. 
  • Experience developing software for containerized platforms like Kubernetes. 
  • Experience with working with applications within hyperscalers including AWS, Azure or GCP. 
  • Good understanding of Kubernetes Custom Resource and controller development.
How we work:
 
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
